The person after me must of had something different because they were allowed in. He told me I have to walk to between terminal C and D which was a 20 minute round trip walk.

There's the priority pass club CLT lounge which is pretty unimpressive but often a bit less packed, the only one that's worthwhile is the Amex lounge, and because Amex has been handing out platinum cards like candy over the last few years it's consistently full.
