The test a class function not really representative of many classes since it just gives you the base 8 abilities you get after going through the prologue.Coming into lost ark this is the class i wanted to play the most. She didn’t disappoint one bit and exceeds my expectations. DPS is definitely lower than the broken classes like sorc and db, but I main shadowhunter so it’s not really that much difference.Most fun: DI Shadowhunter - assassin class that doesn't get one shot, can zoom around, skills are cool with good sound fx. Good at kiting around bosses. Easy to play. Don't get why everyone says she's boring. Least fun: Igniter Sorc.

Don’t consider yourself a nolifer. Lost ark doesn’t really have a way to test class in the mid tier 3 content. The class testing is bad and the one in the training area too. I used up all 9 of my KT and I’m still trying to find my “perfect” roster. As a Deadeye main (with a 1490 GS alt), I think it's one of the most fun classes in the game, the other being Gunslinger and I see why so many people would rather play Gunslinger. Gunslinger feels way more fluid, their skills look cooler, and the damage uptime is FAR easier on Gunslinger than Deadeye. Also, GS is very straightforward to play.

Short answer: Pick what you like. there is no useless or hated class in the game. Anything you pick you will be able to play any content the game offers. No one is going to reject you in a party just because of your class. Normally people are looking for lets say a Support in their group of 3 DPS! Obviously ... Probably gunslinger. Seems super fun and engaging, and has a skill ceiling high enough that you can sink time into and constantly get better. I never really played dps in most MMOs since I like being invited to parties. As far as I can tell, that’s less of an issue here since there is no real holy trinity. Gunslinger can be another good choice, though you're squishy, you have plenty of mobility, and your range on snipe can help you get uptime on mechanics. Warlord/Gunlancer is easily the best solo class. I think this is a somewhat risky answer. There are a lot of disclaimers to make.

I don't think there are any winrate stats publicly available, but soulfist is a good class in PvP in my opinion. It has really strong burst. When you're not in hype level 3 your damage isn't very good but you can focus on peeling for teammates until you have your burst back up.

It's still doable with a support but it goes through much faster if you have a dps that has large aoes or that has higher movement speed/skills. My favourite class is arcanist, but it's not really a good choice for a new player. Very investment heavy and takes quite a bit of practice to pilot it. Personally, I'd suggest picking a DPS class as your first for the story, getting to Punika and then boosting a support with the Punika pass. Gunlancer is a dps class just like the rest.
