I can now successfully capture an AdvPkt/ScnRqst/ScnResp packet-triple between an iOS app advertising as a peripheral device, and a Thunderboard BG22 scanning as a central device, both with the iOS app running in the foreground and in the background (iOS behaves differently in these two cases).
