I have run a Detroit Locker in the rear and a Lock Right in the front of a 1981 CJ7 years ago. Loved the Detroit Locker but did clunk when making turns (not the newer soft locker version offered today).It uses the speed sensors and the ABS system to keep power going to all wheels. It will only go into this mode in 4Lo. It is not as good as a mechanical locker in many situations, but way better than being fully open front and rear. It works surprisingly well (actually better than lockers in a few situations).
