Once the cover is off there is an air duct right in front of the blower motor and the resistor, but it isn't necessary to remove that unless you choose to do so for ease of access. There are two 7mm bolts holding the resistor in (Caution! please tell your readers to only tighten these bolts HAND tight when replacing them.
