The cylinder was very smooth locking. I was not concerned since Taurus hot 36 rounds through my "new" gun. I finally hit the range. brought 2 boxes of Magtech 454 260grain.

The .410, in 2 1/2", is shooting a slug at around 210 grains, or so. The .45LC is shooting a slug at around 230-250 grains. These two loads are very close, the very reason that you can shoot both in the same gun! My suggestion is to not try going over the posted presures for the .45LC, your gun wasn't designed for higher presures.As you can see on the website, all listings for the Taurus Judge Magnum 4510 (3" Cylinder) have been removed leaving only the standard (2.5" Cylinder) models. The way I got it formed to my Judge PD was to: 1. soak the leather slide holster in water, 2. wrap the handgun securely in several layers of Saran Wrap to water-proof it, 3. and remove the holster from the water, slide the wrapped-up gun into it. 4. and hand-conform the holster to the gun. 5.Unfortunately, “The Judge” is engraved onto the right side of the barrel in a font that would look more appropriate in a kindergarten classroom in 1993. There is just no purpose in shooting .410 rifled slugs in a rifled .45 caliber barrel. The slug never gets a "seal" coming out of the barrel and they tend to "wobble" downrange.
